Summer Hydration with Larry Smith
In 2007 Larry Smith walked his first full marathon. Though well trained (and fast), he ended up with severe cramping he later determined was caused by incorrect hydration.
He spent the next year researching and experimenting with hydration and various sports drinks and gels to finish the 2008 Columbus Marathon in much better shape.
Earlier this year, Larry and I talked about what he did to figure out what was right for him. He also gives advice for how to experiment with sports drinks and gels to determine your own best hydration plan. He even answers a few questions posted to him on Twitter!
